A Singaporean health technology company, Genie Health, aims to broaden the application of autonomous AI systems within primary healthcare settings. The goal is to alleviate the burden of administrative tasks for providers while enhancing how patients interact with their health data. The initiative follows a recent $3 million seed funding round, which was spearheaded by the Nadathur Family Office—an investment entity established by Nadathur S. Raghavan, a co-founder of Infosys Technologies.

Genie Health is constructing a digital ecosystem designed to streamline health information management for individuals and enable clinicians to deliver more tailored medical support. At its core is the Genie app, which aggregates medical records, laboratory results, wearable device metrics, and family health histories into a secure digital vault named Health Locker.

Operational Framework

The application processes this consolidated data to detect personal health trends, produce customized recommendations, and address user health inquiries. Individuals retain full authority over data sharing parameters, determining both recipients and duration of access, with the ability to withdraw permissions immediately, as explained by Sandeep Suvarna, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Genie Health.

The AI-driven recommendations generated by the platform serve only informational purposes, while all clinical judgments remain under the purview of medical professionals. Additional safeguards include end-to-end data encryption, Singapore-based server hosting for core operations, and continuous AI performance monitoring to ensure accuracy and prevent anomalous behavior.

Provider Advantages

For medical practitioners, the Genie SmartCare system employs agentic AI to handle repetitive patient engagement functions, such as scheduling appointments and managing follow-up visits. The platform merges extended patient histories with real-time wearable data, offering clinicians a full health overview that extends beyond discrete office visits.

Early deployments across multiple clinics have demonstrated measurable improvements in response efficiency, administrative workflows, and patient demand management, according to Suvarna. The newly secured funding will accelerate SmartCare integration among additional healthcare facilities and bolster the consumer app’s reach.

While Singapore remains the primary market focus, Suvarna noted substantial potential across the broader Asia-Pacific region. The company also intends to enhance its AI development capabilities and expand its teams in Singapore, focusing on product innovation, engineering, and healthcare expertise.
