Millie and El Camino Open Digital Maternity Clinic

Millie and El Camino Health announced a joint maternity clinic that is slated to open in Palo Alto in December. The partnership merges Millie’s digital maternity platform with the health system’s hospital and specialty services.
New clinic blends digital and hospital care
The Palo Alto location will combine the startup’s technology-enabled care model with El Camino’s labor and delivery expertise.
“We built Millie to reimagine maternity care around what families need: a connected and supportive experience with better outcomes,” said Anu Sharma, Millie’s founder and CEO. “We’re excited to partner with El Camino Health to bring that vision to more families.”
Services span the full maternity journey
The clinic will provide a full spectrum of services, starting with pre-conception counseling that helps couples assess health factors before pregnancy. Throughout gestation, the platform will monitor key indicators such as blood pressure, fetal growth metrics, and maternal weight, while offering educational resources and direct messaging with care providers. After delivery, postpartum support will include miscarriage management, lactation assistance, mental-health counseling, and nutrition guidance, all coordinated through the same digital interface.
Postpartum support will include a home visit and remote monitoring, with patients connected to El Camino Health‘s labor and delivery services. The health system handles roughly 5,000 births each year and operates the Melchor Family Center for Women and Newborns, which provides high-risk delivery services and neonatal intensive care.
Expansion plans across the Bay Area
Beyond the Palo Alto site, the partners plan a second clinic in the South Bay, expected to open in the coming months. This additional location reflects a broader strategy to extend the joint model throughout Silicon Valley, offering families in neighboring communities access to the same coordinated care framework. The rollout will be guided by lessons learned at the inaugural clinic, allowing the team to refine workflows and technology integration before scaling further.
Both organizations emphasize that the clinic will deliver coordinated care beyond a standard referral arrangement, aiming for smoother transitions between virtual and in-person services for expectant families. The first clinic’s scheduled opening in December marks the beginning of a phased expansion that could reshape how maternity care is delivered across the region.
