Nutraceutical firms unveil fizzing supplements for energy and sleep

A group of nutraceutical companies will showcase new fizzing supplement concepts at SupplySide Global in Las Vegas next month, targeting daytime energy and nighttime cognitive support. The Women In Nutraceuticals (WIN) initiative, a U.S. nonprofit, will present these formulations under the “Rise + Restore” banner, though the products are not yet commercially available. The effervescent granule format allows multiple active ingredients to be combined into a single, portable sachet.

Collaboration over competition

Ingredients for these concepts are supplied by WIN’s members, including TSI Group, Stratum Nutrition, Nuritas, and AstaReal. While Rise + Restore is not an official commercial product launch, it demonstrates a growing industry willingness to collaborate around consumer outcomes rather than individual brands or ingredients. Heather Granato, president of WIN, stated: “This collaboration shows what’s possible when companies come together with a shared objective to advance wellness by creating a more complete supplement experience.” She added that the initiative shows how industry relationships can help spark new ideas and advancements in the industry.

Supplement delivery has traditionally relied on pills, powders, or liquids, but the fizzing format offers a more immediate and enjoyable consumption experience. Unlike conventional supplements, these granules can be taken directly on the tongue, chewed, or dissolved in water. The technology, called FZZR and developed by TSI Group, supports greater formulation flexibility and portability.

Key formulations and ingredients

The first product concept, Rise AM, is designed for daytime energy without caffeine. It features Enfinity, a form of pure paraxanthine, the primary and most active metabolite of caffeine in the human body, which is distributed by TSI Group. Previous animal research associated the ingredient with enhanced memory and neuroplasticity.

For nighttime support, Restore PM avoids melatonin and instead uses PeptiSleep, an AI-discovered peptide from Nuritas derived from brown rice bran protein. The peptide targets cortisol reduction to support all stages of sleep. The formula also includes AstaReal astaxanthin, sourced from the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis, which a recent study suggested may support steadier energy levels and more efficient sports performance by helping the body burn more fat instead of carbohydrates for fuel.

The formulations also feature SageXtra from Stratum Nutrition, a non-stimulant cognitive lift derived from common sage (Salvia officinalis).

WIN’s involvement at SupplySide Global follows its participation at the Bharat Nutraverse Expo 2026 in India last month, where the organization discussed economic opportunities in nutraceuticals amid evolving U.S.-India trade relations. The focus included the role of women in the industry and the influence of AI on the sector.
